Arrowhead Bottled Water, 64-Ounce Flat Cap Bottles (Pack of 12)

  • Through the years, Arrowhea® Brand Mountain Spring Water’s popularity and distribution has grown beyond California.
  • Arrowhead Brand Mountain Spring Water is proud to have been part of the Nestlé Waters North America family of bottled spring water brands since 1987.
  • Today, you can find us in Arizona, Nevada, The Rockies, and even the Pacific Northwest. But no matter where you are, you’ll be enjoying great-tasting spring water drawn from mountain sources in the United States and Canada.

Here is our history: High on the south slope of California’s San Bernardino Mountains, the home of Arrowhead’s first cold-water spring, is a remarkable slice of the natural world. Hot springs bubble up from the Earth’s surface. Caves can be found filled with steam. Several cold-water streams carry some of the world’s most delicious pure spring water from the mountains above. An arrowhead-shaped rock formation, several acres in size, points to these springs. According to a Native American legend, an arrow from heaven burned the formation on the mountainside to show tribes where they could be healed. During the mid-nineteenth century, “Dr.” David Noble Smith claimed that a saint-like being appeared before him and told of a far-off land with exceptional climate and curative waters, marked by a gigantic arrowhead. Smith’s search for that unique arrowhead formation began in Texas, and eventually ended at Arrowhead springs in California in 1857. By 1889, word of the springs, along with a hotel on the site — and belief of the effect of the water from the springs on health — had grown considerably. Hotel guests often raved about the crystal-clear water from the cold springs, which prompted Seth Marshall to set up a bottling operation in the hotel’s basement. By 1905, water from the cold springs was being shipped to Los Angeles.

From Tap to Bottled Water

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

When people say bottled water is just tap water in a bottle, they don’t realize the complex process of turning municipal water into a packaged drink. Watch this video to go behind the scenes and look at the many steps involved in further purifying tap water before it gets bottled. The steps include pre-filtering, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet, ozonation and adding minerals for taste. The process is also carefully monitored and tested for quality and safety. As you watch, you can decide for yourself if it’s just “tap water in a bottle.” If you learned something from this video, remember to give us a thumbs up before you share it with your friends! Tapped

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

TAPPED documents how the bottle water industry is wrecking havoc on the environment and examines the role of the bottled water industry and its’ effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil. Bottled water doesn’t just come from your grocery store. It comes from small towns across America where citizens argue their way of life and ecosystem have been disrupted as a result of corporations coming in and claiming ownership of the public’s water supply. With only 20% of bottled water containers recycled in the US, every day Americans dump 30 million single-serve plastic water bottles into landfills. Because of America’s poor recycling rate, much of our plastic ends up in the Pacific Ocean. Specifically in an area known as Plastic Stew – an area twice the size of Texas where the ration of plastic to plankton is 46:1. TAPPED highlights how everyday heroes have taken on the fight for our most precious resource – water. MPAA Rating: NOTRATED © 2009 Atlas Films LLC

PRESS FOR TRUTH There’s Something In The Water The forced medication on the population through water fluoridation is a heated debate which is growing as more and more people learn about the dangers of Sodium Fluoride. pressfortruth.ca By: Ashley Jessica, BSc, MA Candidate In 2008, The Toronto City Council voted to ban bottled water at all city owned facilities by the end of 2011, and a recent bid to lift the ban on April 13th 2011 was unsuccessful. This failed attempt came a little over a week after the city voted to continue fluoridating the water with Hydrofluorosilicic Acid, a toxic industrial waste bi-product from the fertilizer phosphate industry. Several US cities have also jumped on board the anti-bottled water movement, including: San Francisco, California, which issued a ban on bottled water sales at all city offices in 2007, and Aspen, Colorado, which prepared last month to spend 000 on the “Aspen Tap Campaign”. This anti-bottled water movement has also expanded to Canadian university campuses and restaurants across North America. Currently 13 Canadian university campuses have pledged to go bottled water free, and are serving carbon filtered tap water out of Brita “Hydration Stations” as an alternative. Restaurants are also serving, and charging for, carbon filtered tap water produced primarily by Nordaq Fresh, Q-Water or Vivreau, while eliminating the bottled water option. Need I remind you that carbon water filters do not filter out the added fluoride

The Story of Bottled Water (2010)

Saturday, June 25th, 2011

storyofbottledwater.org The Story of Bottled Water, released on March 22, 2010 (World Water Day) employs the Story of Stuff style to tell the story of manufactured demand—how you get Americans to buy more than half a billion bottles of water every week when it already flows from the tap. Over five minutes, the film explores the bottled water industrys attacks on tap water and its use of seductive, environmental-themed advertising to cover up the mountains of plastic waste it produces. The film concludes with a call to take back the tap, not only by making a personal commitment to avoid bottled water, but by supporting investments in clean, available tap water for all. Our production partners on the bottled water film include five leading sustainability groups Corporate Accountability International, Environmental Working Group, Food & Water Watch, Pacific Institute, and Polaris Institute.
